FAQ

What if we feel awkward in photos?

That’s completely normal. Most couples feel a little awkward at first. I’ll keep the session relaxed and guide you through natural prompts so it feels more like spending time together than posing for a camera.

what should we wear?

Neutral, soft and earthy tones usually photograph best. Try to avoid large logos, heavy patterns, bright neon colours or outfits that clash. Once you book, I can help guide outfit choices so everyone looks coordinated without being too matchy.

where do sessions take place?

Most couples sessions are photographed outdoors around Penrith, the Blue Mountains and greater Western Sydney. I can help recommend a location depending on the look you want, whether that’s open fields, sandy beaches, greenery, city-style backdrops or golden-hour light.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather is unsuitable, we can reschedule to another available date. Cloudy weather can still photograph beautifully, but heavy rain, unsafe conditions or extreme wind may require a new date.

what time of day is best?

Golden hour is usually best, which is the soft light shortly after sunrise or before sunset. It gives a warm, flattering look and helps create a more natural, cinematic feel.

Do you retouch skin?

Basic natural retouching may be included where appropriate, but family sessions are edited to keep everyone looking like themselves. Heavy retouching is not the goal.

Yes. Proposal photography can be arranged, but it requires extra planning around timing, location and the moment itself. Get in touch early so we can plan the details properly.

Do you photograph proposals?
